To start the new year, we wanted to update you on some awards our web design and digital marketing firm won at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. They included several awards for excellence in web design, as well as recognition for our firm as a whole.
International Award for Excellence in Web Design
The first set of awards came from the AVA Digital Awards. AVA is an international competition that recognizes professionals who excel in the designing and production of various types of digital communication. We received the AVA Gold award in the Marketing Agency Website category upon the submission of our own Modmacro website, as well as a Gold award in the Financial Website category for the website we created for our client Greenlock, Inc. The website we designed for our client Fluid Sound received an honorable mention award in the Small Business Website category.
These websites were evaluated by judges based on each website’s “own quality, creativity and resourcefulness”, and on “learned perceptions of creative excellence, rather than an entrant’s imaginative explanation of an entry’s value.” In other words, the success of these websites in the competition was not due to any well-worded entrance essay, but solely on their high-quality design.
The next two awards we received came from the Vega Digital Awards competition. The Fluid Sound website won in the Business-to-Business category, and the Greenlock Inc. website won in the Financial Services category. The judges for these awards are experienced, senior-level digital media professionals that have an eye for quality when it comes to websites, so it is a great honor to receive recognition in this prestigious competition!
Best Web Design Firm in La Jolla, CA
Every year, the La Jolla Village News, a local publication for the San Diego County beach city of La Jolla, asks their readers to vote for their favorite local establishments. We are proud to announce that Modmacro has received the award for Best Web Design firm for the eight year in a row! For this award, we have the faithful support of the people of La Jolla to thank, since it’s the La Jolla residents who vote on these awards. Our big win was announced in a special “Readers’ Choice” edition of the La Jolla Village News.
