Whenever a small business hits a milestone, like a major anniversary, it should be celebrated! Small businesses are notorious for having a very high failure rate within their first five years, so when one is still standing (and thriving) after 25 years, it’s a big deal!
One of our clients at Modmacro, CBR Bearing, celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, so we wanted to publicly acknowledge this accomplishment and highlight some of the reasons why they’ve seen success over such a long period of time.
CBR is a manufacturer of specialty bearings. They produce ceramic hybrid ball bearings for industrial electric motors, as well as for racing motorcycles and karts. They provide high-quality products in a very niche market, which has helped them stand out from their much larger competitors. They also offer turnaround times that are much faster than the industry norm, which keeps customers coming back.
CBR owner Charlie Rowlett started his business in 1994 after noticing a need in the motorcycle industry for affordable OEM replacement bearings. After doing some research, he determined that he could offer quality, replacement bearings at a much lower price point than the motorcycle shops were selling them for. He later expanded into the industrial market. Today, industrial clients make up the bulk of CBR’s business.
Rowlett is still intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of his company—overseeing quality control and providing customer support for new and existing customers. He had this to say about reaching the milestone of 25 years in business:
“I am proud of what we have accomplished as a company over the last 25 years. We’ve stayed true to my original vision, but continue to look forward to what the future may hold for CBR. We appreciate our loyal customers, who come back to us time and again for their bearing needs. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them.”
The team at Modmacro has helped support CBR’s operations by providing various marketing services for the company, including web design, content marketing, social media advertising, and print marketing. This frees up the team at CBR to do what they do best—produce some of the industry’s best bearings—while we handle all of their marketing needs.
