This particular church had a staff position to fill—a maintenance position that had been vacant for many months. The church had already spent a ton of money on ZipRecruiter ads that had yielded very little interest. No qualified candidates had applied, despite the church’s best efforts, and the church was getting desperate to fill the position. The first ad was targeted to reach individuals in the area (including those both in the nearby community and also current followers of the church’s Facebook page). Within two days, the church had received more than a dozen completed applications from qualified individuals interested in the position, and even more trickled in after that. Shortly thereafter, the church offered the position to one of the applicants, and he accepted it and is now working for the church with their facilities team. A problem that the church had been struggling with for many months was solved in a matter of days through engaging, targeted, and effective Facebook marketing!
